The top ten percent of Nevadan coders earn approximately $55,960 a year though this can vary depending on what city/county you are working in. The Training

The training to become a medical biller and coder is both a combination of classes and certifications, as well as on the job training. The courses required are medical terminology, anatomy, first aid, pharmaceutical procedures, health. However, there will also be classes in office procedures, medical law, medical ethics and patient doctor relations. Furthermore, you may also be required to do an internship at a facility.
